What we hope to build here is a place where people can go to learn about the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As we are based in Kananga the emphasis will start there but we hope it spreads as more people contribute. There is a chat room for personal interactions, there is a forum for discussions, there is a gallery for user contributed photos. There will be places where NGOs can discuss their projects, seek assistance or even find projects to support. There will be places for candidates to promote their candidacy for public office and where people can comment on the candidates. A wiki for info on the history, places and people of the DRC. There will even be a place for commercial enterprises to publicize or seek answers prior to investing here.

A satisfied customerLocated near downtown yet just far enough away to be quiet and secure. It's the office for Congo Helping Hands and the home of an ex-Peace Corps volunteer who works with a variety of groups in aid and development and can give you assistance in your activities as well.

Kindle Books=Instant library

CongoSource with CongoHelpingHands and BiblioBidia are joining together to bring libraries to the DRC. We have many books that one day we will build a library for and we already share books with schools that have library space but those are very expensive. After some research, we believe that the Amazon Kindle would be excellent  way to get many books into the hands of people here. We are especially impressed by the up to a month on a charge feature.  That's a big plus for us here.

If you purchase a Kindle by using the link on this page Amazon will make a cash donation to CongoHelpingHands and every penny of that will be used to purchase Kindles. If you wish to donate a Kindle itself contact congohelpinghands.org

This doesn't add any cost to you and there is no obligation on your part, it's just a way to help without any hassles.

Thanks
